Alaska’s Prince William Sound is ringed by the coastal mountains of the Chugach Range and situated in the midst of the Chugach National Forest. Its’ 2,700 miles of coastline is home to the towns and villages of Chenega Bay, Cordova, Tatitlek, Valdez and Whittier.

The large islands and narrow passages on the perimeter of the Sound provide protection from the unpredictable weather prevalent in the Gulf of Alaska. These sheltered waters provide a variety of water-based activities like beachcombing, sport fishing, kayaking and sailing. On land there's hiking, a deserted gold mine, berry picking and just taking in the beauty of Prince William Sound.

Create your own adventure in this spectacular marine environment. PWS is home to seals and sea otters, whales and bears, a variety of sea birds, plus healthy salmon and halibut waters.
